Additional Resources for Business Recovery Following Hurricane Milton

If you were without power or broadband, you may have missed our earlier communications with valuable resources to help you recover. Here they are again, with a few new ones for other industries.

Martin County Business and Private Sector Hotline: Provide the county with your business open or close status reports, and let us know if you have any unmet needs. Call 850-815-4925 (8 am-5 pm) or email esf18@em.myflorida.com.

Business Damage Assessment Survey: If your business suffered any physical or economic damage from Hurricane Milton, please complete the Business Damage Assessment Survey from FloridaCommerce. Survey responses will allow the state to expedite Hurricane Milton’s recovery efforts by gathering data and assessing the needs of impacted businesses.

TAABF Helping Hospitality Hurricane Urgent Aid Relief Grant: In the wake of Hurricanes Helene and Milton, The Above and Beyond Foundation’s Urgent Aid Grant Program awards $500 grants to hospitality industry workers who have gone above and beyond but have been affected by the recent hurricanes and flooding. Up to 10 people may be nominated per hotel/business.

Emergency Bridge Loan Program: FloridaCommerce activated the Florida Small Business Emergency Bridge Loan Program, making $50 million available for businesses impacted by Hurricane Milton.

Activate Hope Program: Serving as the emergency response arm for the Hope Florida initiative, Activate Hope pulls together the private sector, nonprofits, and government resources to help Floridians get back on their feet following a natural disaster. Activate Hope helps connect Floridians with outside resources to provide food, household goods, home repairs, and more.
