From a high school graduate to a successful marine detailing business owner, Parker Smith’s ambition and excellence caught the attention of the 2024 Business Development Board of Martin County selection committee for the annual BDBMC Business Awards presented by Bank of America.
“Smith is a bright young man with his marine detailing business deserves to be recognized for his ambition and excellence,” said Lauren Abbott, BDBMC and Marine Industry Association of the Treasure Coast board member. Abbott also served on the host committee for the annual awards, helping the BDBMC team make the winner announcements in person.
Abbott arranged for the announcement to be a surprise where Smith is learning life and trade skills at Project Lift, bringing in his family, cake, and lunch for his cohort. She also arranged with TD Bank for Smith to receive VIP access to this year’s Dirty Flight Suit Party at the Stuart Airshow, a one-year membership with the MIATC, and invaluable access to a business advisory committee through the BDBMC to guide him through important aspects of his business.
