Martin County is seeking creative and innovative program proposals that are geared toward mitigating the negative social and economic impacts of COVID-19 experienced by Martin County residents in communities most disproportionately impacted by the pandemic.
The maximum award is $500,000 per program, subject to funding availability. Heavy emphasis is given to job skills training and addressing social and economic disparities caused by COVID-19. The Coronavirus State and Local Fiscal Recovery Fund includes direct federal aid to all counties, a broad range of use of the recovery funds, the allowance for lost revenues in the most recent full fiscal year on the local level and a deadline of Dec. 31, 2024 to expend funds.
Martin County’s allocation of funds is $31 million. A partial disbursement of $15 million has been received by the county.
