About Daher Aerospace in Martin County: In a significant strategic move to strengthen its North American operations, Daher Aerospace has announced plans to begin production of its advanced TBM 960 aircraft at its facility in Stuart, Florida, by 2027. This decision aims to enhance the company’s manufacturing capabilities and better serve its growing U.S. customer base.

Daher acquired the Stuart facility in 2022. This expansive site, spanning approximately 440,000 square feet and employing around 700 personnel, currently specializes in producing aerostructures, including critical components for Boeing’s 767 freighter and KC-46 tanker aircraft. With the upcoming addition of the TBM 960 assembly line, Daher is set to transform the Stuart location into a comprehensive aircraft manufacturing hub.

The TBM 960, introduced in 2022, represents the latest advancement in Daher’s line of single-engine turboprop aircraft. Equipped with a Pratt & Whitney Canada PT6E-66XT engine and a five-blade Hartzell Raptor composite propeller, the aircraft features a dual-channel digital Engine and Propeller Electronic Control System (EPECS) for optimized performance. The TBM 960 also boasts a Garmin G3000 integrated flight deck and the HomeSafe™ emergency autoland system, enhancing both pilot experience and safety.

By establishing the TBM 960 production line in Stuart, Daher aims to mitigate potential trade barriers and tariffs, while also reducing lead times for U.S. customers. The move is expected to create new job opportunities in Martin County and strengthen the region’s position as an emerging aerospace hub. Learn more HERE.

Daher’s investment in the Stuart facility underscores its commitment to the U.S. market and its strategy to diversify manufacturing operations globally. As the company continues to innovate and expand, the Stuart site is poised to play a pivotal role in the production of Daher’s next-generation aircraft.
