Martin County: The Heart of the Treasure Coast’s Industrial Growth
Martin County is emerging as the industrial hub of Florida’s Treasure Coast, recently named one of the nation’s top 10 emerging industrial markets (Click Here to see the Report) in Colliers International’s 2025 report. Known for its quality of life and marine heritage, the county is now recognized for its expanding role in aerospace, marine, and advanced manufacturing.
Thriving Industry Sectors
Manufacturers are investing heavily in Martin County. Daher Aerospace produces aircraft components in Stuart and plans to assemble TBM and Kodiak airplanes locally. Jim Smith Tournament Boats continues the county’s tradition of world-class boatbuilding, while innovators like Pursuit Aerospace, ADDiTEC, Hog Technologies, and Murray Ventilation Products are creating high-wage jobs and exporting products worldwide.
Strategic Locations and Developers
Industrial growth is supported by new and permit-ready sites. The South Florida Gateway and Sands Commerce Center are expanding along I-95, while large tracts in Indiantown, Palm City, and Stuart are shovel-ready. Developers such as Ashley Capital, Cushman & Wakefield, and Colliers are driving these projects, positioning Martin County as a cost-effective alternative to crowded South Florida markets. Infrastructure investments like the Brightline station planned for Stuart and upgrades at the Port of Fort Pierce further strengthen connectivity.
Building a Skilled Workforce
Martin County is also preparing its workforce. The new REACH Center at Witham Field will provide advanced training in aviation, marine, and manufacturing. Indian River State College and the Martin County School District are expanding technical programs to ensure a pipeline of skilled workers ready for high-tech industries.
With strong sectors, strategic sites, and a growing workforce, Martin County is ready to lead the Treasure Coast into its next chapter of industrial growth. Businesses interested in starting or relocating manufacturing operations are encouraged to contact the Business Development Board of Martin County (BDBMC) for support.
