Meet a Martin Maker: Z Metals

Share:

Since 2005, Z Metals, a family-owned company, has flown under the radar, quietly making its name as the go-to fabricator for other Martin County businesses, including other fabricators and manufacturers. Blending traditional craftsmanship and modern techniques to ensure high quality, their services include manufacturing and prototyping, custom metal signs, and specialty products for various industries, including marine, aviation, commercial, and residential construction, and everything in between.

Recently, Z Metals expanded its services by adding a Senfeng Laser 6Kw cutting machine with a precision tube cutter. This considerable investment in equipment now means they’ve added laser cutting and welding to their existing service lines of CNC punching and bending, shearing, waterjet cutting, welding, rolling, powder coating, and product prototyping and development.

2024 has been an exciting year for other reasons, including being nominated for a Martin County Business Award, and co-owner Nearra Beurrier was nominated as a Women Who Rocks hosted by the Palm City Chamber of Commerce and weVENTURE.

But when Hurricane Milton swung through Florida, their plans took an unexpected hit. Luckily, their more than 5,000-square-foot shop in Contractors Showcase in Stuart was spared any damage. Still, some of their clients elsewhere in the state were significantly impacted, and existing purchase orders stalled. That’s when they contacted the BDBMC after recalling a Pulse visit from earlier in the year. They wanted to know how they could connect with other manufacturers, fabricators, and companies in Martin County to grow their business and create a resiliency plan to overcome calamities like hurricanes and tornadoes impacting supply chains and business plans.

While the BDBMC makes connections for Z Metals and provides access to resources, you can learn more about this Martin Maker on their website and follow them on Facebook or Instagram for more information and cool videos about their capabilities and state-of-the-art equipment
