The Printera mission is to revolutionize industries through innovative 3D concrete printing. With roots in Martin County, the Printera team is dedicated to engaging in the community and inspiring the next generation of engineers and designers to explore the possibility of sustainable and eco-friendly concrete processes.
Their commitment to the community started with printing Florida’s first 3D-printed reef for the Florida Oceanographic Society. Then, they sponsored 40 3D-printed baskets as centerpieces for the BDB’s annual awards. Since then, they have collaborated with Pine School students to design and create custom benches and planters for their campus.
From design to print, the students got an up-close look at the Printer robot arm printer, fittingly named 3D-CPO, in action, and during the printing process event, participated in a 3D obstacle course. Students learned that even the most proficient video gamer maneuvering a robot with a joystick takes skill and a lot of practice. “Working with students in this new technology, showing them how it works, and demonstrating its possibilities is an important part of revolutionizing the industry,” says Justin D’Angelo, CEO.
