The second Talent Advancement Meeting of 2024, with the new industry-focused approach, took place Thursday, July 11, at the Indian River State College Advanced Manufacturing Center. The meeting focused on manufacturing and was led by Chairperson Shannon Armstrong and Vice Chairperson Mike England, Owner of Express Professionals. This meeting also served as one of the monthly touchpoint opportunities with members of the manufacturing roundtable, as manufacturers were invited to attend and participate. Hosted by IRSC, Michael Schemel, Director of Development, IRSC, and Natalia Chekhovskaya, Executive Director of Advanced Manufacturing Center, provided an update about the center’s progress over the past 18 months, cohorts, graduations, and what programs are coming next to serve the manufacturing community. A tour of the various labs was also provided before and after the program. During the roundtable portion of the meeting, Dan Romence from the Marine Industry Association of the Treasure Coast provided an update on the activity following the previous TAT meeting from April.
