William Corbin and the BDBMC Welcomes New Board Members

As a big fan of Major League Baseball, this is among my favorite times of year. I’m especially eager to see the new players added to team rosters and how they’ll impact the game. That same level of anticipation and excitement extends to the work we do at the BDB.

That’s because our board of directors—already a powerhouse of diversely experienced and accomplished leadership—recently got even stronger by adding:

David Powers: Co-partners in his firm, Indiantown Realty, David—who’s also previously served in leadership positions on the BDB board—comes with an advanced knowledge of our mission and an extensive understanding of the existing and emerging opportunities in Indiantown. We’ve recently deepened our partnership with the village and look forward to assisting them in achieving their aims. With more than 255,000 square feet of new manufacturing operations under review or construction, the Village of Indiantown is poised to power the local economy for decades to come.

Steve Hartz: CEO and founder of Value Tool & Engineering, he’s guided his Indiana-based company’s expansion expertly, including with a facility in Palm City. VTE specializes in creating customized tools and fixtures for the aerospace industry, including manufacturing precision parts for the defense industry. In addition, Steve founded four charter schools in his home state to cultivate a manufacturing workforce. He’s teamed up with our talent development operations and is helping us prepare the local job market for successful careers in manufacturing.

As we go to bat daily for Martin County’s economy, your BDB team has good reason to swing for the fences.
