The Business Development Board of Martin County is proud to announce the addition of Brian Bauer, president and CEO of CareerSource Treasure Coast, alongside two other distinguished business leaders, to its board of directors.
“Brian and his team at CareerSource perform vital work on behalf of our economy, and we’re grateful to have added his talents to our board,” says Dan Hudson. “We’re also very excited to benefit from the experiences and perspectives of Lauren Abbott—a successful small business owner in the marine industry—and accomplished attorney Tyson Waters.”
Bauer brings nearly 20 years of experience in the workforce development arena. As CEO of CareerSource Research Coast—one of 24 workforce development boards in the statewide network—he identifies challenges in the employment sector, marshals community resources, and develops and delivers programs that assist with employment solutions.
Bauer also serves on the Treasure Coast Manufacturers Association, Economic Development Council of St. Lucie County, and Indian River Count Economy Development Council, among other organizations.
Bauer joins the board alongside new additions Abbott, who’s active in the marine industry and owner of Oceanwide Electronics—a Stuart business serving commercial and recreation boaters—and Waters, an attorney with Fox McCluskey who has extensive experience in local government, environmental and real estate law.
