When a federal cybersecurity mandate threatened to impact local manufacturers, the Business Development Board of Martin County took action.
Introducing the Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification Loan Fund with our partners at FloridaMakes, South Florida Manufacturers Association, Cyber Florida, and Ascendus.
This first-of-its-kind, short-term loan program is designed specifically for Martin County manufacturers in the Defense Industrial Base. Along with our strategic partners, we’re providing resources to meet these critical requirements and ensure their continued productivity and positive economic impact on Martin County.
About the Martin County CMMC Loan Fund:
-Loan amounts up to $100,000.
-The manufacturer must have an operating facility located within Martin County.
-The manufacturer’s NAICS code must be aligned with the National Institute of Standards and Technology-approved manufacturing codes.
-Reference a Department of Defense or federal contract as a prime or subcontractor.
-Business owners with at least 20% equity (will be co-borrowers).
-FICO score of 720 or better.
-Ability to provide business taxes and financial statements for up to 5 to 6 years of operations.
-Willingness to apply for and comply with the loan requirements of the lending institution.
-Agree to engage in follow-up surveys by loan program partners and NIST.
-The loan program is available through Ascendus, which is a separate entity.
-The partners do not guarantee the result of the loan application.
