Ryan Strom honored with Charlene Hoag Leadership Award
One of the most distinguished honors bestowed ruing the 2025 Martin County Business Awards went to Ryan Strom, president of Team Parks.

Presented by the 2024 winner, Suzy Hutchenson, Strom received the Charlene Hoag Leadership Award.
“The woman for whom this award is named lived a life worth recognizing year in and year out,” says Hutcheson. “Charlene modeled leadership by living with integrity. The award that bears her name honors those who do the same.”
Community comments supporting Strom for the award lauded his character, commitment to excellence, and service to others. He was described as:
- “A graceful, diligent leader who empowers others and never seeks recognition.”
- “An advocate for improvement of the local economy and the creation of sustainable and resilient opportunities for our citizens.”
- “Committed to continuous learning and personal growth, actively encouraging and positioning his employees to stay at the forefront of industry advancements, techniques and innovations to deliver exceptional results.”
- “Involved in many nonprofits and inspire his employees to participate in Habitat for Humanity builds, beach cleanups, adopt-a-class programs and more.”
- “His company strives to construct green properties, both commercial and residential, and is known throughout the region for being a construction firm at the forefront of green technology.”
- “He grew up in a family that lived out the virtues of leadership. His father graduated from West Point and followed in those footsteps, serving as an officer in the Army and later fighting in the War of Terror as part of Operation Enduring Freedom.”
Having served on the Martin County Commission and boards of the Stuart Martin County Chamber of Commerce, the Palm City Chamber of Commerce, the Economic Council, the Treasure Coast Builders Association, the Taxpayers Association, and others, Hoag—who passed away in 2002—was beloved across the community.
