Sound marketplace solutions and great business ideas deserve to take flight. But sadly, some never get off the ground due to a lack of funding or understanding of where to find or access capital.
To ensure that leaders in the banking and finance industries discover innovators, entrepreneurs, and future superstar CEOs who need financial backing, the Business Development Board of Martin County is hosting a free workshop on how to secure funding.
“Demystifying Access to Capital” will take place at 8 a.m. Sept. 13 at Flagler Center, 201 Flagler Ave., Stuart.
“We’re excited to offer this workshop as it will address one of the most important and reoccurring concerns we hear from local business owners—‘How can I get funding to launch my initiative?’” says Dan Hudson, interim executive director of the BDB. “This special event will feature experienced business leaders who will answer that question more in detail.”
Addressing the variety of ways to source capital—from securing traditional loans, obtaining government grants, tapping personal credit or plumbing lesser-known methods, the list of speakers—which spans a broad range of expertise and organizations—promise to engage.
