The Stuart company that took top honors in the 2023 Business Development Board of Martin County’s annual awards recently earned additional acclaim.

International Training—named Martin County Business of the Year in 2023—is a finalist in the 14th Annual GrowFL Florida Companies to Watch Awards. Most well-known for training their educational and learning platform for the diving industry, International Training has successfully transformed into a state-of-the-art learning management system and software company that can be customized to serve any industry.

“It’s wonderful to see International Training receive additional well-deserved recognition,” says Dan Hudson, interim executive director of the BDB. “This is an incredible company that testifies to the ingenuity and diversity in Martin County’s economy.”

Kyle G’s Prime Seafood and Steaks also rounded out the list of local businesses recognized by GrowFL.

The program aims to honor “second-stage companies.” This term describes the majority of small businesses that survived the startup phase, advancing to employ 10 to 99 people and generate anywhere from $1 million to $50 million in annual revenue.

Cumulatively, the finalists represent 3,700 jobs and more than $1 billion in revenue generation. Dubbed “worth watching” by GrowFL organizers, the highlighted companies are projected to achieve a combined revenue growth of 27 percent by the end of this year.

The finalists were selected from a field of more than 500 nominees from across the state. The top 50 honorees will be recognized at the awards ceremony Feb. 27, 2025, at Hard Rock Live in Orlando.
